[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I absolutely love this recipe! It’s a little time consuming but trust me, it is so worth it! That being said, I won’t preface this post with much more writing. - 2 cans of Black Beans (15 oz ea.)
- 2 cans of Red Beans (15 oz ea.)
- 6 tbsp Mayonnaise
- You can sub this for 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
- ⅔ cup Chopped Cilantro
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 2 tbsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 ½ tsp Salt
- Plain Bread Crumbs
Additions:
- Tomato
- My homemade Crack Sauce
- Spinach/Lettuce
- Flat Bread/Hamburger Bun
Materials:
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Aluminum Foil works too
- Can Opener
- Mixing Bowl
- Spatula
Process:
- Set oven to 375° F
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
- Chop Cilantro and set aside
- Open and drain cans of beans. Give it one good rinse, while in the can.
- Use a food processor to blend beans together
- You can manually mash the beans or you can use a blender, if you don’t have a food processor.
- Add Mayo, Cilantro, Cayenne Pepper, Paprika, Garlic, Cumin Powder, Salt
- Remove from food processor and transfer to mixing bowl
- Add one cup of breadcrumbs and mix completely
- Add a second cup of bread crumbs and mix completely
- Once your mix is even in consistency, start to shape your patties
- Place patties on baking sheet and bake for 15 mins
- Flip all patties and bake for an additional 10 mins
- Remove from oven and let cool
- Once they have cooled enough to handle, “News team, ASSEMBLE!”
